Regardless how many times our eyes view the sight of the Grand Canyon it is a gift that surpasses our experiences. We are humble in front of its beauty and grandeur. Our existence is so short compared to its marvel without age. In its vast stretches many forget their everyday worries. The Grand Canyon is a gift from past generations. We must appreciate this gift. We can sit and admire the animated games of light and shadows. You can explore the exhibits at the Visitor Center. Stoll along the hiking trails, feel the rays of the sun and the wind on your face. Participate in one of the guided programs. Follow the flight of the Ravens leaping from the edges. Listen to the rumble of the rapids below Pima Point. Appreciate a sunrise or a sunset that will take your breath away.

As the shadows stretch between the peaks and the buttes, we must understand the lesson of this formidable phenomenon: a sense of humility born from the alliances in nature and the desire to take care of this earth.
We must assure that the future generations will have the opportunity to form a bond with the Grand Canyon.

Take time to copy and paste and appreciate the slide show from our recent trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

I love the Grand Canyon...been there twice. Hike to the bottom and stayed at Phantom Ranch. 1st time was when I first retired from the army...I was fit as a fiddle. Second time was not a good experience...I became dehydrated cause I didn't drink enough water. It took me TEN hours to hike outta there!!!!!

I am sorry, but I guess the watch dog decided not to include the slide show link in the post, sorry to you all.
